Online Theory Courses

Lauzon Jean-Talon driving school offers online theoretical classes from the Road Safety Education Program (RSEP). Several sessions will be available each week for the theoretical courses of Phase 1 to 4 (Modules 1 to 12).

You can now attend class in the comfort and security of your home! Each course will be live and given by a certified instructor. It is necessary to have a computer, mobile device, or tablet to follow along.

No physical manual will be provided to you; you will receive materials in PowerPoint format. During each course, there will be questionnaires and surveys to be answered in real time to ensure that you are paying attention.

* Payment can be made with a credit card via our Student Portal. We also accept Interac transfers, please send to info@ecole-lauzon.ca. When the current situation settles down, you will be able to pay cash at our physical office.

Eligibility and Registration

This program is offered to all Quebec residents, aged at least 15 years and 9 months, and who have not yet started the Road Safety Education Program (RSEP).

If you have already started your lessons with another school, you must ask them to give you an incomplete certificate to continue with us.

To register, please complete our pre-registration form.

* Please allow 3 to 4 business days for us to process your registration. When we have processed your file, you will receive an email from info@ecole-lauzon.ca with instructions on how to create your account and book your sessions.

How online courses work

Before starting the lessons, you will also need to sign our service contract, valid for 3 years, to give you enough time to finalize your lessons and avoid penalty fees. If you are 18 and under, a parent or legal guardian must sign the contract as well.

Bookings for courses will be made via our Student Portal located on our Web page’s “Student Area” section. A detailed video with instructions will be available once your registration is completed. If you need to change or cancel your reservation, it will be possible to do so through our portal as well.

Each module will be given several times during the week to accommodate the schedules. Places are limited, so be sure to book the sessions you want to attend quickly.

Continuity of the SAAQ Program

By taking our online courses, it is not mandatory to take the practical courses with us after completing the theoretical courses in Phases 1, 2 and 3. We strongly encourage you to do them with a driving school in your neighborhood.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, SAAQ’s theoretical exam must be done online. You will need to have a cellphone, a tablet, a webcam, or laptop equipped with a webcam to be seen by the instructor.

As practical courses restarted recently, we are currently prioritizing students who’s courses from March to June have been cancelled, and those whose final exam is close by.
